<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for producing anα-nucleoside because a conventional method for its production is not yet sufficiently satisfactory in yield. SOLUTION: This method for producing anα-nucleoside (I) is characterized in that a nucleoside (II) (wherein R1 denotes a protecting group of hydroxyl group; R2, R3 and R4 denote each hydrogen atom or a protecting group or hydroxyl group; and A denotes purine nucleic acid base or a pyrimidine nucleic acid base) is reacted with a silylating agent and further reacted with a Lewis acid without heating, and as desired, the protecting group, is removed.</p> |
