PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimicrobial agent (antituberculous agent) containing a new antimicrobial active compound as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial agent, particularly antitberculous agent comprises, as an active ingredient, a pharmacologically permissible ester derivative, ether derivative, N-alkyl derivative of carbamoyl group of a compound represented by the formula (wherein R1 is hydrogen atom or methyl group; R2a is hydrogen atom, a protective group of hydrogen group or methyl group; R3 is hydrogen atom or a protective group of hydroxyl group; R4a is hydrogen atom, hydroxyl group or protected hydroxyl group; R5 is hydrogen atom or a protective group of hydroxyl group; X is methylene group or sulfur atom) or a pharmacologically permissible salt thereof.
