DIRECT CLEANING METHOD FOR GROUND WATER CONTAMINATED WITH NITRIC ACID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel cleaning method by which the efficient utilization of a carbon source and higher concentration of dentrifying bacteria can be achieved and a direct cleaning of the ground water with higher safety is made possible without requiring the addition of noble metals and a device therefor. SOLUTION: The biodegradable plastic derived from starch is used as a single carbon source and microbial cell immobilizing carrier and the dentrifying bacteria are immobilized on the carrier and the carrier is brought into contact with the ground water contaminated with nitrogen in nitrate form.
