<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag system capable of forming a passenger restraint face at the initial stage of inflation. SOLUTION: In a SRS (occupant restraint system) air bag system, a separator 43 separates the inside of a bag 22 into a first room 41 which expands first and a second room 42 which expands second. The second room 42 is provided with a vent hole 44 for flowing out a gas from the bag 22. In this way, a bag volume at the beginning to the middle of the inflation is regulated by the separator 43 and an internal pressure of the bag at the beginning of the inflation rises faster. A gas leak from the hole 44 at beginning of the inflation is reduced and the internal pressure of the bag rises with ease.</p> |
