<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism-immobilizing support suitable for microorganismal growth, enabling great immobilization quantity of the microorganisms to be held and enabling the high rate of treatment of a gas through reducing the gas permeation resistance, excellent in physicochemical properties stably over a long period, and retaining its surface design. SOLUTION: This microorganism-immobilizing support is such as to be made in the form of granules each 5-20 mm in size (one side length) having numerous communicated pores 300-1,000μm in average size, and consists of a polyvinyl acetal resin >=75 mol% in acetalization degree.</p> |
