PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade used for a developing device which can consistently form an image of high quality, a manufacturing method thereof and a manufacturing die, the developing device having the blade, and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In a pressing die comprising an upper die part having a knockout and a lower die part having a punch and relatively movable to the upper die part, the knockout comprises a first flat portion in section and a triangular protruded portion protruded from the first flat portion, the punch comprises a second flat portion in section and a triangular groove portion formed in the second flat portion, and the blade is manufactured by the die in which the first angle at which the triangular protruded portion is protruded from the first flat portion is larger than the second angle at which the triangular groove portion is started from the second flat portion.
