PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position measuring system and a position calculating method in mobile radio communication system capable of measuring its own position by knowing the positions of optional two base station devices after a mobile station device measures its own position from the positions of optional three base station devices in the first place. SOLUTION: In these position measuring system and position calculating method, a position informing means 21 of a base station device 20 reports positional information. A position calculating means 41 by three points of the mobile station device 30 calculates the difference in distance between the mobile station device and the respective base station devices from the positional information from three base station devices, and measured a position of the mobile station device 30 from the positional information and the difference in the distance to be stored in a storage part 40 as last time positional information. A position calculating means 42 by two points calculates a difference in the distance between the mobile station device and the respective base station devices from the positional information from the two base station devices, and calculates a present position of the mobile station device 30 from the positional information and the difference in the distance and the last time positional information of the mobile station device 30 stored in the part 40.
