SOLUTION: When conducting negative friction cut method, caisson method, jacking method, etc., on various foundation structures, the coating for friction- reducing agents essentially comprising a water-absorbing resin (a), an alkaline water-soluble binder resin (b) (or a binder resin (d) having an acid value of from 40 to 500 mg KOH/g) and a solvent (c) is previously applied onto the various foundation structures (steel laggings, concrete piles, steel pipe piles, etc.), various tanks, water storage tanks, Hume pipes, steel pipes, steel pipe piles (base material), etc. This allows controlled and persistent reduction of friction between the soil and the various foundation structures, etc., and therefore reduces the time required for execution. Furthermore, it may absorb ground displacement over a long time and therefore stabilizes the buildings, etc., constructed above the foundation structure.
