PURPOSE: A countershaft assembly in a manual transmission is provided to simplify work process by reducing driving ear and to improve inner torque characteristic by ensuring stiffener of rear driving gear. CONSTITUTION: A countershaft assembly of a manual transmission comprises a drive pinion(2) receiving driving force by being connected to an engine; a countershaft(6) rotating by being geared with a pinion gear(4); a main shaft(8) connected to a final reduction gear by a propeller shaft by being horizontally mounted with the countershaft; a synchronous device back shifting by being installed between the main shaft and the countershaft; a shaft gear of fifth stage and back synchronous devices(10) geared with a fifth stage driving and back driving gears(12,16b); a first and second stages driving gear(16a,20) geared to a shift gear of the first stage driving gear and a second stage driving gear(20); a third stage driving gear(24) geared with a shift gear of the third and forth stage synchronous device(22); and a forth stage driven gear(26) geared with the pinion gear of the drive pinion.
