PURPOSE: An apparatus for monitoring the cell flow of an exchange is provided to monitor cell flow using a standard interface. CONSTITUTION: Using the API(Application Information base) of an SVCM(Switched Virtual Connection Module)/PVCM(Permanent Virtual Connection Module), an NMS(Network Management System) calls an "MIB GET" function through an MIB(Management Information Base) API(300). In response to this, an SVCM/PVCM CCB(Call Control Block)(302) finds out channel search, connection state check, device ID, IN VPI, and OUT VPI values. After that, the CCB(302) obtains necessary data using a device driver function call and returns the obtained data to the NMS.
