摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple BOD measuring method capable of estimating a BOD value simply and rapidly, having no problem from an aspect of cost and adaptable even to a small-scaled institution and an organic wastewater treatment method utilizing this BOD measuring method in the monitoring of the generation of pollution or the accurate monitoring of fluctuations in the quantity of an organic pollutant in a treatment plant to enable economically excellent treatment. SOLUTION: In the simple BOD measuring method for measuring the quantity of an organic pollutant in organic wastewater, dry immobilized microorganisms are used and a BOD value capable of being substituted with a BOD value measured according to JIS K0102 is calculated from the respiration rate of the microorganisms. In the organic wastewater treatment method due to an activated sludge method, a treatment condition is controlled on the basis of the respiration rate of the microorganisms obtained by the simple BOD measuring method. The dry immobilized microorganisms are used in these methods.</p>
