PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope storage device not requiring much labor to make storage and feeding, capable of preventing the rope at the time of feeding from entanglement and kinking, allowing quick and effective operations of rope storage and feeding, and capable of suppressing the required space for installation. SOLUTION: The rope storage device comprises a rope bin 1 consisting of an inner cylinder 2 and outer cylinder 3 in coaxial arrangement and rotating round the axis at the rotating speed N so that a rope is arranged between the inner and outer cylinders turn by turn in the circumferential direction to generate a disc shape and the produced discs are stacked one over another and accommodated therein, a rope feeding device 5 to move to the radial position R where the rope arrangement is to be conducted, hold the rope between tire rollers 9, allow it to dangle in at the speed V, and feed at the speed V', and a control board 20 fed with signals from sensors 7 and 14 to sense the speeds V and V' and a sensor 6 to sense the radial position R for turning it into a signal which makes the rotating speed N V'/2πR or V/2πR and emitting the result to a drive device 4.
