摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for reducing the amount of an iron material to be used and also suppressing the generation of hydrogen as for a method by which metallic copper is recovered from an aqueous solution containing hydrochloric acid and copper chloride such as an etching waste solution, and by which an aqueous solution of ferrous chloride is obtained. SOLUTION: In a method in which an aqueous solution containing hydrochloric acid and copper chloride is brought into reaction with an iron material to recover metallic copper precipitated on the surface of the iron material, the aqueous solution containing hydrochloric acid and copper chloride is previously brought into reaction with iron oxyhydroxide to remove free hydrochloric acid and is threafter brought into reaction with the iron material.</p>
