PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a software system to constitute a software system to interact with a hardware system and its method. SOLUTION: The software system 140 is executed on a host processor mutually connected with the hardware system 103. A data base 152 is accessed and description of a set of functional components to exist in the hardware system 103 is obtained. Software expression 154 of abilities of each software component is generated by using the description of a set of functional components. Next, an operation ability of a set of the hardware system 103 is determined by inquiring the software expression 154. Next, the software system 140 is operated by a method to respond to the operation ability of one set of the hardware system 103.
