PURPOSE: A TFT-LCD(Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to improve luminance and viewing angle without additional processes by obtaining excellent lens effects through structural changes of a color filter. CONSTITUTION: A TFT-LCD has structure of combining an array substrate and a color filter substrate(30) on an LC layer. The color filter substrate includes a glass substrate(21), a black matrix(22) formed on the surface, a color filter(23) and an ITO(Indium Tin Oxide) counter electrode(24) formed on the black matrix and the color filter. The black matrix(22) is positioned corresponding to a TFT of the array substrate, and the color filter is positioned corresponding to a pixel electrode of the array substrate. The color filter has the center thinner than the edge. As the color filter has different thickness, the TFT-LCD has additional lens function. Therefore, an actual opening area increases by the color filter. Making the thickness of the color filter different is done by adjusting the etching time of resin having RGB(Red,Green,Blue). The additional lens function means having a micro-lens in each pixel.
