PURPOSE: Provided is an infrared sensor with error pulse sensing function added which bases on infrared pulse frequency information generated at a floodlight part to analyze reception wave so that it causes an alarm when pulse wave radiated by the floodlight is discovered in the reception wave. CONSTITUTION: The sensing method of error pulse by the infrared sensor comprises the steps of: (i) calculating the volume of received light at the reception part to compare with fixed values; (ii) when the calculated reception values are smaller than the fixed values, judging that infrared radiated from the floodlight part is shielded and counting the shielding time; (iii) when the counted shielding time is longer than or the same as the fixed values, causing an alarm; (iv) when the calculated reception values are larger than or the same as the fixed values, judging that error pulse is discovered at the reception wave and causing an alarm when error pulse is present; and (v) causing an alarm when the alarm is caused at the third or the fourth step.
