PURPOSE: A waste basket for a street is provided to obstruct the generation of a fire, to prevent the leakage of smoke even in the case of the fire, and to achieve an easy discharge of waste. CONSTITUTION: The waste basket comprises a funnel member(3) formed with an upper cigarette stub input hole(2) and a lower cigarette stub discharge hole(4); a waste basket body(1); a lampshade shaped shutter member(5) for opening and closing the lower cigarette stub discharge hole of the funnel member; a pushing lever(7) extending upward from the shutter member; a support(11) extending upward from the waste basket body for supporting the pushing lever; a return spring(10) to be elastically moved against the falling of the pushing lever; and a cigarette stub receiving drawer(14) located in the bottom part of the waste basket body. |
