PURPOSE: A device and a method for amplifying an electric signal are provided, which is related to an apparatus and method for utilizing a correction loop amplifier in conjunction with a main signal amplifier to reduce output signal distortion. CONSTITUTION: A device and a method use a correction loop amplifier(202) together with a main amplifier(204) in order to reduce total harmonic distortion while amplifying a signal. The correction loop amplifier(202) is preferably provided with an input end coupled directly to a first input end of the main amplifier(204) and an output end coupled to a second input end of the main amplifier through a resistor. A second input end of the correction amplifier(202) is preferably coupled with a signal input end through a voltage divider or RC network.
