PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color liquid crystal shutter having a wide viewing angle and capable of recognizing a color picture with excellent color purity. SOLUTION: In the color liquid crystal shutter provided with at least two sheets of liquid crystal cells imparting in-plane retardation varying corresponding to signal voltage and at least four sheets of color polarizing plates, at least one out of the color polarizing plates arranged between the two sheets of the liquid crystal cells has the in-plane retardation value with <=550 nm. |
