PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor with excellent responsiveness. SOLUTION: This gas sensor is constructed of a solid electrolyte 12, a measured gas side electrode 2 arranged on the surface of the solid electrolyte 12 so as to be brought into contact with a gas to be measured, and a reference gas side electrode 29 brought into contact with a reference gas. The measured gas side electrode 2 and the reference gas side electrode 29 are constructed of multiple crystal grains, and a grain boundary exists between the crystal grains. In each of the measured gas side electrode 2 and the reference gas side electrode 29, a total grain boundary length included per a surface area 1000 μm2 is 1000 μm or more. |
