PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power control unit for raising sensor temperature properly starting electric power supply to a sensor arranged on an exhaust passage in an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This power control unit for raising sensor temperature controls the supply of power for temperature rise to the sensor 23 arranged on the exhaust passage 7 is provided with an exhaust tube temperature estimating means 18, which computes an emission gas calorie or temperature based on an operation condition of the internal combustion engine 1 so as to estimate an exhaust tube temperature in consideration of the computed emission gas calorie or temperature, heat transmission between emission gas and the exhaust tube 7a, and heat transmission between the exhaust tube 7a and the outside air, and an electric power supply starting means 18 supplying temperature increasing power to the sensor 23 when the exhaust tube temperature estimated by the exhaust tube temperature estimating means 18 reaches a water non- generation temperature at which dew condensation of water is prevented inside the emission gas in the exhaust tube 7a. |
