<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information retrieval system and a retrieval server that can, over a network, retrieval target information easily in a short time, and examine the contents of the information easily. SOLUTION: This system uses a network for information retrieval. On a user client 1 connected to a WWW server 4 through the network 3, a matrix table 20 having retrieval item columns which are respectively on the vertical axis and the lateral axis and contain each retrieval item laid side by side, and when a cell in this matrix table 20 is clicked, the result of retrieval with AND condition regarding retrieval items in the vertical column and a retrieval items in the lateral row displayed. In the matrix table 20, respective categories of retrieval items on the vertical axis and the lateral axis are different.</p> |
