<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic clutch employed in a compressor for air conditioning apparatus for automobile and to provide the compressor comprising the electromagnetic clutch, wherein a magnetic circuit is effectively formed between a rotor and an armature plate and neither magnetic flux density nor efficiency is not caused to deteriorate. SOLUTION: In the armature plate to be attracted toward a contract surface of the rotor by means of magnetic force of an electromagnetic coil, an outer disc and an inner disc each made of magnetic steel plate to be independent member are arranged concentrically with clearance therebetween, the electromagnetic clutch are constructed integrally by fixing the outer disc and the inner disc upon a back plate made of non-magnetic steel plate, the magnetic circuit is formed effectively by providing the continuous clearance in circumferential direction between the outer disc and the inner disc, and the efficiency of the electromagnetic clutch has been enhanced by not causing any decline of the magnetic flux density between the outer disc and the inner disc without providing a connection part in the clearance which links the outer and inner discs.</p> |
