PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition containing a monoazoic metal-containing compound, highly safe to the human body, and low in a skin sensitization-developing percentage when the composition is evaluated by a skin sensitizing test, especially by the maximization test, to provide a method for producing the same, to provide a charge control agent, to provide a static charge pattern-developing toner, to provide a colorant, and to provide a coloring thermoplastic resin composition. SOLUTION: This composition containing the monoazoic metal-containing compound contains the monoazoic metal-containing compound, wherein the skin sensitization- developing percentage is not more than 20% when the composition is evaluated by the skin sensitizing test, especially by the maximization test. The charge control agent comprises the composition containing the monoazoic metal-containing compound. The static charge pattern-developing toner contains the charge control agent. The colorant contains the composition containing the monoazoic metal-containing compound. The coloring thermoplastic resin composition contains the composition containing the monoazoic metal-containing compound as the colorant. The method for producing the composition containing the monoazoic metal-containing compound includes a process where impurities are removed by the use of an alcoholic organic solvent.
