PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the pressure of the pressured air provided to an ink cartridge at an appropriate value each time in a recording device for replenishing an ink from an ink cartridge to a sub tank mounted on a carriage by pressured air. SOLUTION: A pressure detector 23 for detecting the pressure of pressured air is disposed in an air channel between an air pressuring pump 21 and an ink cartridge 9. The pressure detector 23 is capable of controlling at least two values of a first set pressure for producing an ink replenishing flow rate to a sub tank 9 for the ink maximum ejection amount in a printing state by a recording head 6, and a second set pressure for producing an ink replenishing flow rate to the sub tank for the ink discharge amount in a cleaning state of the recording head. Thereby, the pressured air can be maintained at a relatively low pressure state in an ordinary state other than the state of executing a cleaning operation. |
