<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detector capable of reducing leak-in of an unnecessary signal into a receiving circuit and accurately detecting an object. SOLUTION: This detector is provided with a transmission signal generating means 2 for generating a transmission signal, a transmission antenna 6 for transmitting an electromagnetic wave based on the transmission signal, a reception antenna 10 for receiving the reflected electromagnetic wave reflected by the object, a sampling signal generating means for generating a sampling signal, a sampling means 14 for sampling a reception signal from the reception antenna 10 based on the sampling signal, and a signal processor 38 for processing the sampled signal. Each measuring cycle is constituted of plural sampling intervals, and the transmission signal fed to the transmission antenna 6 is varied to make a transmission waveform thereof changed as required in response to the plural sampling intervals.</p> |
