摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure charging and discharging of a main battery in a low- temperature environment, to prolong service life of the main battery, and to enhance the reliability of the system as a whole. SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle, on which an engine and a motor-generator which is connected to the engine and has a drive function and a generating function, is provided. The main battery, which supplies drive power to the motor-generator and is charged by generated output of the motor-generator, is provided. A temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of this main battery is provided. A control means, which performs control so as to inhibit the generation operation of the motor-generator, when the temperature of the main battery detected by this temperature sensor, is set lower than the set temperature; the motor-generator is in the course of generation operation, and an open-circuit voltage value of the main battery exceeds an upper limit voltage; and the value of generated output of the motor-generator is lower than a set power, is provided.
