<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device with excellent operability. SOLUTION: This input device is provided with a rotational operation part 12 supported movably in the X-Y direction and rotationally on the X-Y coordinate plane, an X-Y directional shift detecting means detecting an X-Y directional shift of the rotational operation part 12, a rotation detecting means detecting rotation of the rotational operation part 12, and a touch sensor means detecting contact of an operating finger 42 with one position on the circumferential face of the rotational operation part 12. The input device is also provided with a control part detecting the operating finger 42 position and the rotational operation part 12 rotating direction so as to output the same signal for both of a moving operation based on a rotating operation carried out by upward finger motion of a right-handed operator placing his/her hand on the right side of the rotation operation part 12 and a moving operation based on a rotating operation carried out by upward finger motion of a left-handed operator placing his/her hand on the left side of the rotational operation part 12.</p> |
