PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device of a thin type which has an illumination function, is high in contrast in both of lighting and non-lighting of an illumination device and is high in visibility. SOLUTION: The illumination device of a thin type is arranged on the front of a display body 2 and a reflecting plate 3 is arranged on the back of the display body 2. The illumination device has a light guide plate 11 and a light source 12 which is arranged on the end face side of the light guide plate 11. The surface 14 on the light exit side of the light guide plate 11 is provided with rugged shapes formed of light exit side planes, the surfaces in the direction parallel to the light exit side planes and the surfaces in the direction perpendicular to the light exit side planes. |
