PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly regulate a tension which is allowed to act on an element wire. SOLUTION: This coil manufacturing apparatus 20 is equipped with a plurality of upper rollers 42a and a plurality of lower rollers 42b, engaged so as to sandwich an element wire 22 between an element wire drum 62 and a coil former 24. A tension-regulating screw 46 for regulating a gap between the upper rollers 42a and the lower rollers 42b, that is the extent of engagement of the upper rollers 42a and the lower rollers 42b is attached to a support bracket 36 connected to the upper rollers 42a. The drive of a drive motor 64 for rotating the element wire drum 62 is controlled, so as to loosen the element wire 22 fed from the element wire drum 62. Consequently, a proper tension can be allowed to act on the element wire 22 irrespective of the shape of the coil former 24. |
