<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a block distortion in a compressed image, without causing deterioration of image details. SOLUTION: A first intermediate image data containing details, which are smaller than a block distortion and a second intermediate image data containing details, which are larger than the block distortion in an initial image data are generated from the initial image data, and the second intermediate image data is filtered, and the amplitude of a signal indicative of the block distortion is decreased, and the modified second intermediate image data and the first intermediate image data are added up.</p> |
