PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paying system capable of executing payment even when the remainder of the digital cash stored on an IC card is lacking. SOLUTION: When the IC card is connected to a card processing section 21 for payment, an IC chip reading/writing section 21b detects the remainder of the digital cash held on a digital cash storage section 4 via a digital cash management section 3. When the detected remainder of the digital cash is below the payment amount inputted via an input section 24, a controller 22 requests the replenishment of the digital cash to a digital cash providing server 40A via a network 30. When the digital cash is supplied in response to it, the controller 22 temporarily stores the digital cash on the digital cash storage section 4 then executes the payment with the replenished digital cash. |
