PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iris camera module that is downsized and has high security. SOLUTION: The iris camera module 10 consists of an image pickup optical system and a target optical system, and uses a half mirror 22 to separate optical paths. Furthermore, an image pickup element 36 of an image pickup section 30 picks up an image of an iris 12a of an eyeball 12, a comparison section 42 of a comparison processing chip 40 compares the iris image that is picked up with a reference iris image stored in advance in a storage section 44 and provides an output of a comparison result. Furthermore, the iris camera module 10 is configured suitably for miniaturization. Since the reference iris image acting like the comparison reference image is stored in the storage section 44 in the comparison processing chip 40, falsification of the reference iris image is difficult and high security is provided. |
