PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus that can prevent telephone directory data from being rewritten to imperfect telephone directory data at a destination when the transfer of a telephone directory is failed. SOLUTION: When the telephone directory data of a cordless slave machine 300 is transferred to a facsimile machine 100, the machine 100 stores the telephone directory data transferred from the slave machine 300 in the temporary file of a RAM 103, discriminates whether or not the transfer of the telephone directory data by means of a transferring device normally ends, and, when the transfer normally ends, writes the telephone directory data stored in the temporary file in an SRAM 124. When the transfer does not end normally, the machine 100 discards the temporary file. |
