METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ARTIFICIAL MARBLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing artificial marble by adding a pattern material without lowering impact resistance and capable of expressing a design by the pattern material without compounding a large amount of glass fibers or providing a reinforcing sheet or layer. SOLUTION: The pattern material and additives such as a filler, a curing agent or the like are compounded with a thermosetting resin to prepare a resin composition which is, in turn, molded and cured to manufacture the artificial marble. At this time, a resin composition for the pattern material prepared by compounding attidives such as the curing agent or the like with a composite resin is cured to be used as the pattern material, wherein a butyral resin is added to the thermosetting resin.
