<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide manganese-containing sintered ore having electrical conductivity suitable for the treatment of an electric furnace, and to provide its production method with improvement of the consumption unit of manganese alloyed iron and the consumption unit of electric power as well as improvement of productivity. SOLUTION: This manganese-containing sintered ore for electric furnace refining contains, by mass, 5 to 18% CaO, <=10% Al2O3, <=4% MgO and 4 to 12% SiO2 as slag making components, and further, the relation of (CaO+1.39 MgO)/(SiO2+Al2O3)=0.8 to 2.7 is satisfied. Moreover, preferably, as metallic components, 35 to 60% Mn and 3 to 20% Fe are contained, and further, >=18% MnO2 is incorporated therein.</p> |
