This invention pertains to chemistry of oil, particularly to producing high-octane fuel for internal combustion engines. The offered method is characterised in that the fuel contains additives in amount from 0.1 to 10 weight-%, gasoline of quality A-92 is used as row-fuel and additives are based on ethanol. The additives comprise at least 90 weight-% oxygen-containing components as well as comprise N-methyl-aniline in amount from 8.0 to 9.0 weight-%.
