<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf control device for improving the use factor of shelves without reducing carrying efficiency and the availability factor of the device, and an automatic carrying device using the same. SOLUTION: The shelf control device comprises shelf assignment and control means for classifying the plural of shelves in an automated storage and retrieval warehouse into handling device groups for handling goods in process and empty status identifying means for identifying the empty status of the shelves classified into the handling device groups and allowing the reservation of the use of the shelves identified to be empty with shelf reserving means. Thus, the use factor of the shelves can be improved without the occupation of special shelves in specified processes.</p> |
