<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely avoid clogging of a catalyst regeneration type particulate filter. SOLUTION: Regarding an exhaust emission control method for trapping particulate in an exhaust gas 3 by the catalyst regeneration type particulate filter 5, equipped at the midway of an exhaust pipe 4 in which the exhaust gas 3 from a diesel engine 1 flows and burning and removing particulates, fuel 9 is injected to the upstream side of the particulate filter 5 when starting the diesel engine 1, the fuel 9 is ignited, an internal temperature of the particulate filter 5 is raised, up to an activity lower limit temperature of an oxidation catalyst for regenerating a filter by the combustion, the fuel 9 is injected properly into the upstream side of the particulate filter 5 in an unignited state at the subsequent transient operation time, an oxidation reaction of the fuel 9 is promoted on the oxidation catalyst and the internal temperature of the particulate filter 6 is maintained higher than the activity lower limit temperature of the oxidation catalyst by the heat of reaction.</p> |
