<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device with a retractable antenna which can be arranged so as not to be electromagnetically coupled with the noise generating source of an electronic device. SOLUTION: An antenna is loaded with a spring and extended beyond the profile of electromagnetic device housing when it is in use. When the antenna is not in use, it is housed within the profile of the electromagnetic device housing. In a preferable example, the antenna is loaded with a spring, and the antenna is pulled out and moved to a position from a housed position when the spring is energized. In another example, the antenna is formed of a quarter filler antenna. The antenna can be formed into one piece with an open/close switch.</p> |
