<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for the rearrangement of data, as wall as a recording apparatus a reproducing apparatus and a recording reproducing apparatus wherein it is possible to prevent a reproduced image from being visually confirmed by a third party. SOLUTION: Error correction codes PB1 to PB7 are added to an input image. Error-correction-code added data D5 is generated. From among a plurality of kinds of data rearrangement patters stored in a data-rearrangement-pattern storage means 4, an arbitrary data rearrangement pattern D3 which is designated by a user is selected. According to the selected arbitrary data rearrangement pattern D3, the image data D5 is rearranged in units of a prescribed data amount. As long as the arbitrary data rearrangement pattern D3 designated by the user cannot be known on the side of a recipient, the image data D5 cannot be rearranged, an error cannot be corrected correctly, and the original input image cannot be restored precisely. As a result, it is possible to prevent the reproduced image from being visually confirmed by the third party not intended by the user.</p> |
