PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit having little luminance unevenness of a lighting surface. SOLUTION: In a backlight unit 6, at least one or more cylindrical light sources 3 are disposed in a easing 1 as a flat ramp house which has a reflector 2 on a bottom surface and an opening part 1a on a upper surface, and a light transmission diffusing plate 4 is provided in the opening part 1a of the casing 1. A reflector 18 having high reflectance different from that of the light reflector 2 provided in the inside surface of the casing 1 is provided at least at four corners 17LB, 17RB, 17LF and 17RF of the casing 1, or at the front side face parts of both sides 1L, 1R, 1F and 1B of the casing 1. |
