PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for straightening a meandering strip capable of quickly straightening the generation of a meander at the time of threading a strip of a continuous line. SOLUTION: A roll 1 for straightening which transfers a strip 10 to the undersurface of the strip 10 is provided and in the straightening device for the meandering strip so as to support the center portion of a bolster 2 of the roll 1 for correction at a vertical axis 3 inclined byαdegree in the strip traveling direction from a vertical direction to the strip transfer surface, a bolstering member 4 extending to the direction of travel is provided at the end of the vertical axis 3 and simultaneously, at the tip end portion of the bolstering member 4, the roll 1 for straightening is fixed rotatably in the conditions offset from the center line of the vertical axis 3.
