PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the thicknesses of the coating films formed on both surfaces of a web without damaging the web. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus 10 is equipped with a dipping tank 11 housing a coating solution 12 to permit the web W to enter and the roller 13 arranged in the dipping tank 11 and taking up the web W reversely. A cooling air blowing device for blowing cooling air on the coating solution 12 on the web W discharged from the dipping tank 11 is provided above the dipping tank 11. Since the coating solution, on which cooling air is blown, is increased in its viscosity to slowly fall, film thickness can be increased.
