PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of electronic equipment using a secondary battery as power supply being initialized, due to fluctuations in a supply voltage unbeknown to the user thereof. SOLUTION: In an electronic clock, when it is found from the result of detection of the voltage of the secondary battery 220 that the output voltage of the secondary battery 220 has dropped to a first voltage value, a display on a liquid crystal display 236 is inhibited. When the voltage of the secondary battery 220 drops to a second voltage value which is lower than the first voltage value, an initialization is performed. When the voltage of the secondary battery 220 drops to the second voltage value and then increases to a third voltage value which is higher than the first voltage value, the display on the liquid crystal display 236 is resumed. |
