<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining thermoplastic resin pipes capable of preventing the lowering of strength in a fused part even in such a case that rotary joining is performed to join high in reliability with good execution properties. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin pipes are joined by interposing a tubular joint between two thermoplastic resin pipes to be joined to abut both end surfaces of the tubular joint to the end surfaces of two thermoplastic resin pipes to be joined, and fusing and joining the tubular joint and two thermoplastic resin pipes to be joined by friction heat generated by rotating the tubular joint. The rotation of the tubular joint is stopped and, thereafter, the tubular joint is rotated in the direction opposite to the rotary direction before the fused and joined parts of the tubular joint, and two thermoplastic resin pipes to be joined are solidified. Herein, the rotary angle in the opposite direction is preferably set to 5-90 deg..</p> |
