PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for mapping a plurality of characters in a string. SOLUTION: A string is constituted of the combination of characters indicating indexed expressions and the combination of characters indicating non- indexed expressions. In one performance configuration, a weight array available for the purpose of comparing the first and second strings having the indexed expressions and the non-indexed expressions is generated. In this performance configuration, one set of specific weights are generated for the characters indicating the indexed expressions and the non-indexed expressions (122). Then, the weight values of the indexed expressions are related with a specific character group indicating the specific non-indexed expressions (124), and a plurality of specific weights related with the specific character group indicating the specific non-indexed expressions and the weight values related with the indexed expressions are retrieved so that the weight array can be generated (126). |
