PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of preventing waste sucking of ink in a maintenance condition of an ink head without increasing the number of pumps for sucking the ink. SOLUTION: An inner space of a cap 21 to be brought into intimate contact with the ink head at a non-used condition of the printer is partitioned into a suction space 21a for a color ink and a suction space 21b for a black ink and suction tubes 24, 25 are respectively connected to the spaces 21a, 21b from a tube pump 22. The sucking of the suction space 21a for a color ink and the suction space 21b for a black ink is independently executed. A tube pressurizing roller in the tube pump 22 can be selectively moved to a first position for pressurizing only the suction tube 24 for a black ink, second position for pressurizing only the suction tube 25 for a color ink or a third position for pressurizing both of the suction tubes 24, 25 at the same time. |
