PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast slab providing fine solidified-structure without developing internal defect, such as internal crack, center segregation, center porosity, by stably forming solidified nuclei in molten steel containing much carbon, reducing an alloy cost and micronizing the solidified structure. SOLUTION: Into the molten steel 12, with which the solidified primary crystal becomesγ-Fe, Mg alloy satisfying the following formula, is added and solidified. [%Mg]>=(4×10-5)/[%S]+1.5×[%T.O].
