PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide footwear and an insole for footwear which can achieve an effect of suppressing the proliferation of bacteria. SOLUTION: This footwear 1 comprises an integrated upper part 3 with a sole 2. An interior member (insole) 5 is disposed on the inside sole. The interior member 5 comprises a cushion layer 6 and a ventilation sheet (ventilation layer) 7. The cushion layer 6 contains antibacterial powder 15. The antibacterial powder 15 is the powder extracted from sesame. When the footwear 1 is put on and the interior member 5 is depressed, the cushion layer 6 is compressed to jet the powder 15 with inside air toward the foot. The proliferation of bacteria is thus suppressed over the surface of the foot.
